Mega Man X: Part 11: Getting the Hadoken from Armored Armadillo's Stage
Besides all the other upgrades X can find from Dr. Light's capsule, there is one more capsule that can't just be found, but summoned.
Before you can reach this capsule, however, you must have all of the following:
- Collected every Heart Tank for maximum health.
- Collected all 4 Sub Tanks.
- Collected every Armor Upgrade from the other Light Capsules.
Then after that, you must go to Armored Armadillo's stage, and right before the door to his room, you must climb up the wall over that door to find an Energy Capsule waiting for you. Pick it up. Then one way or another, start the level over again and pick this same capsule up again.
You have to do this up 5 times, whether it means dying & restarting over from halfway through the stage, proceeding onto the boss room to exit, or a combination of both. Just as long as you get that lonely health pickup 5 times in your whole playthrough.
I only got this 4 times, because I already got it the first time I went through this stage to fight Armored Armadillo.
I start this at 2:11, and I finish at 4:50. Head to 4:50 if you wanna see the capsule.
--------------
When you finally manage to make the secret capsule appear, Light's hologram will have him dressed up as Ryu of Street Fighter. Jump in the capsule to claim your reward: The Hadoken!
Using the Hadoken is the almost the same way you'd use it in Street Fighter: Down, Down-Forward, Forward + Shoot.
X's Hadoken is the most powerful weapon he has in this game. It can kill almost every enemy & boss with one blast, and what it doesn't kill, but still hits, only takes insane damage instead. You can charge it all you want, but it will still do that exact same damage, not that it matters, much.
The drawback is that X must be at full health to use the Hadoken, and he must be unequipped of any of his Maverick weapons. Also, when he uses the Hadoken, he stays completely still. So if you really wanna use this all the time, don't get hit and watch your surrounding.
The rest of this playthrough will see me using this move from time to time, but not all of the time. I still use it enough times to show how ridiculously powerful it is.
