Mega Man X was good, but kind of easy. The Super NES sequels are much tougher. It's a shame that the music isn't nearly as good as MMX1, but the improved challenge is definitely worth it.

Mega Man X3 is something of an odd bird. I played the game on the Super NES. A Saturn version was released, which includes many changes:

(1) Poorly drawn and encoded animated sequences;

(2) Redbook audio featuring arrangements of the soundtrack. Despite the improved production values, the music is actually worse than the original SNES cart. (At least the intro stage's song is good.)

This game is being played on the PS2 version of the Mega Man X Collection. This collection includes the Saturn version of MMX3.
