Mega Man X3 (via Legacy Collection) playthrough Part 3 Final
This end boss was infuriating. I hate end bosses like this, that are more frustrating and cheap than challenging. His hit box is absolutely tiny, and his shoulders block shots to it. It's an exercise in frustration that took me far too long to beat. But beat it I did.
This game does some things right, some things badly. I love the helmet power-up, the one that lets you track what items you still need to pick up. Of course I love the regen when it's power up as well. But the arm cannon is awful. It delays your shots, and that's a killer. The robot masters are also not quite so easily killed with their weaknesses as they were in previous games. Most of them, anyway. Blast Hornet gets absolutely bodied by his weakness. And Neon Tiger was mostly easy as well, if you can get that timing down.
As a whole, I do like the game, even with the levels of frustration in it. Probably my least favorite of the 3 SNES titles because of all that frustration though. How few items you can actually get, with almost everything being locked down behind SOMETHING. That's extremely frustrating. And the game has its hidden bonuses as well, which I missed once more. Very frustrating to get all the items and still be missing one last secret. Oh well. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
