I thought there'd be more levels to The Darkening. And, well, there are, but they are multiplayer levels and may not be included in Compendium. But that's fine, I'm there for the single player with Doom RPG. We hit some rough patches today, whew. Getting low on ammo, but we've managed to upgrade the pet. Who now shoots us in the back sometimes. Sigh. Still, I've never done a summoner before and he's been a lot of fun. And there's a way around the ammo problem. Oh boy howdy is there a way around the ammo problem. Take some of those handy dandy credits down to the shop and invest in a few mods and now I have an Assault Shotgun that never needs to reload. Ever. No more ammo counter. And no slowing down, that sucker's automatic. So when I go to take on The Darkening 2, I'll be ready!

I had fun with this map pack. I really did. I liked the custom textures, even if some were defaults they added some extras to help blend things in and give more variety. Plus some were ripped from Quake. They look good here, the maps look good, and other than one confusing one, played pretty well.
