Current version: 1.03

The video begins in Dark Dizzy's stage for a good reason. Those purple blocks I mentioned back in the stage's first video are now gone with Harpuia on the team. Behind it is a warp leading to an entirely new area.

First sign this is a very strange area is when you check out the map. Nothing out of the ordinary...except for an X marking the boss room when it's been a Z or even Sigma's icon in the past.

Second sign is when you arrive at a battlefield. Five battles need to be cleared to open up the gate, but more importantly...these first five battles feature enemies from the first five stages in order of power. No changes to them stat wise though so you can crush them easily.

Finally, upon taking the teleporter, you'll figure out just what's up with this area...the first of five bosses in this area and all of them are going to have something to do with Neo Arcadia.

Remember how there were four guardians protecting Copy-X in the future timeline? Well, meet the third guardian, Phantom. He's not anywhere as chippy about joining the team and needs to have his face kicked in as a result.

Phantom's not to be underestimated primarily because his attacks (and those of all but one of the bosses in this area) are fixed damage affairs, meaning you can't defend with one or two people to lower the damage sustained and make it easier to heal, say, two people one turn, then the other two after the next attack.

Also, his weakness is Dark Flash. Thing is, it only does 600-700 damage at best. This is why I wanted Master Sword for Harpuia before tackling this area. Makes dropping Phantom's 30k hp much quicker.

After his defeat, a gate opens leading to another battlefield + teleporter combo (after me spending like 30 seconds being so inept passing an obstacle I had to reset the game). For this one, Leviathan awaits.

Her damage is about the same as Phantom's, minus the fact her strongest attack is rated at 1700 points of damage to the group. The big difference here though is that her weakness, Thunder Shock, does ~3x as much damage as Phantom took from Dark Flash.

Before killing her though, you do want to make sure everyone is around 2000 hp or so, maybe 1900 at a bare minimum. The reason is that she's a smartpants and pulls out her second form from Mega Man Zero 2. This one has a fixed damage attack doing 1800 to the group or pulls out one of the few non fixed damage attacks seen in this area, Ice Beasts, for a slightly lower amount of damage. Her weakness this time is Storm Tornado.

Once she folds, another gate leads into the last portion of the stage. Make sure not to get crushed by the spike ceilings and you'll find yourself up against someone that you oughta see coming, given the icon marking this room...Copy X.

Besides thinking he's better than the "fake" X (which is grounds for instant death Copy X, just saying), take note of the fact this video is at 22 minutes or so upon reaching him. Yeah, he takes up the last 20 minutes of the video because good lord is he stacked hp wise.

His first form isn't that bad. Attacks that hit everyone and are fixed damage affairs, yes, but it's a much wider range of numbers. Around 1k-1.7k or so depending on the attack. His weakness here is Dark Flash.

After the first fight, he decides to one up Vile on the dumbass attack plans and reveal his ultimate form. That's fine and all, but when that form is a trio of wireframe X heads, you might want to reconsider what you think is an ultimate form.

For this form, he's trying to take you out in a long endurance match. All three heads use attacks that hit a single character for light damage, maybe 600-700 at worst. The catch? All three heads have a TON of hp. Inclined to believe it's around 100k or so. Worse yet, only the top head's death will end the fight so you could very well be here for 20-30 minutes if you didn't know that fact. Weakness here is Gemini Laser.

After Copy X gets punted into the black hole of death explosions (and probably is going to find a way to come back for the fourth game, not gonna lie), you'll get the reward for clearing this place, this game's special item. 10k zenny is nice, but the real reward is five free levels for the team. Not a bad haul, all things considered.

Next time, getting back on track with the Archive Bot stages.
