Current version: 1.03

Time to go see what's up with a gateway via the Jakob Orbital Elevator.

Enemy wise, just stuff you've seen in previous levels. Nothing to be worried about here.

At the top, it seems like an easy route to the gateway, but someone crashes the party...Vile. Yup, he's back!

So, what's he around for this time? Deciding that, eh, I'm gonna kill X today. Backing that claim up is the fact he got "powerups" from Sigma, suggesting he's still alive somewhere.

These so called "powerups" Vile got? His ride armor from X3 is back. Yeah, that's his grand plan for killing X.

Sir, there are three problems with said plan:

1. Killing X. PRETTY sure you'd need to bring more firepower than a ride armor and whatever you have yourself to have a chance of pulling that off. Hell, you'd probably have better odds capturing him and finding a way to turn him against the world. Problem with that?

2. Zero is backing X up. That ain't happening.

Alrighty, time to kick his...oh wait, I forgot a third reason, didn't I?

Well, that time portal mentioned a few times already? One opens up here and reason number three that Vile's plan is flawed presents itself...Fefnir. It's now three versus one sir and I believe Fefnir right's about it being time to take you down.

For what it's worth though, Vile actually does damage here unlike in the original version of the game. Two fixed damage attack doing 330 (charged Electric Spark from X1 more or less) or 360 (ramming everyone with his mech) to the group or Needle, his sole non-fixed damage attack doing 250-300 to the group.

As for Fefnir...look at his hp/we totals compared to the other two. He's SEVEN levels ahead of them right now (and that's with me nuking every enemy this go around). Dude's been training while waiting for the time portal to be ready again lemme tell you.

Attack wise, Vile's weak to Fire Rage. For Fefnir, he's got Ground Blast. Does ~200 or so damage for 18 WE...and that's without a Helmet MkIV to boot right now. He'll be just fine dealing damage here.

After Vile's mech gets trashed, the dumb dingbat retreats to fight again another day (probably with another dumb attempt to try killing X).

As for X, he's a bit surprised being called the "real" master X by Fefnir. In the future, there was an evil Neo Arcadian copy of X and four guardians protecting him. Two of those four guardians were Fefnir & Harpuia. Once Zero showed those two data that the real X was dead, they changed loyalties quickly.

Speaking of Harpuia...turns out the time portal machine needs time to cool down again. Oh well, nothing that can be done about that for now.

In the next room, there's a teleportal. Alia chimes in saying Vile's retreated to the moon and said teleportal will take the trio there. Vile really's going all in on the moon shenanigans isn't he? Went SO well for him in Mavericks 1 I might add.

Soon after, Alia finds out there's mavericks on the moon and they're trying to rebuild Sigma's Palace. Looks like the goal's clear...kick five fresh mavericks in the face, have X & Zero steal their powers, then make sure Sigma's Palace stays in shambles. Good plan!
