Alrighty, time to infiltrate Sigma's Palace and...uh, this isn't exactly the best reconstruction project the bad guys have done. In fact, it isn't close to being Sigma's Palace. Seems to have been an old laboratory of sorts. Something's awry here and it's time to find out what that is.

No enemies here aside from some obstacles I do a bang up job of getting past. There's even some mavericks still in capsules.

Two thirds of the way through the level, Vile decides to appear again. He decides on a plan to...rush the trio again and end this. Dude, you are clearly an idiot because you don't even have your ride armor this time. If you were smart, you would have ambushed the trio, paralyzed them somehow, THEN rushed them. That might have worked.

The catch? Every time you suicide rush, a time portal opens. This time, the person rejecting Vile is Harpuia at long last.

As if to mock Vile, X calls him out on the fact he's run out of tricks. Apparently, Vile can still summon a boss and run away like a coward.

In any case, this boss can be a decent step up in challenge. Three targets, all of them using one attack that hits everyone. Total damage from all three parts adds up to a bit over 1100-1200 points. Not something that can be ignored, especially when Harpuia is in the team for this battle.

Speaking of Harpuia...he's seven levels higher than Fefnir and eleven higher than X & Zero. Gotta love it! He's got his initial skill, T-Bolt, for 500 or so damage to a single target at a cost of 30 WE. Not too shabby, but he can do better once he gets a certain skill from the shop later on.

As for the boss's weakness, I couldn't remember it at first, but it's Thunder Shock for the head. Taking out said body part will end the fight so just focus all of your attacks on it.

After the battle, not much time is wasted before exploring further into the area to find....another teleportal. Where does this lead you may ask? A place called Planet Maverick. Who's parked on said planet? The guy who comes on the intercom at the teleportal, Omega, aka the original Zero.

Omega's still all up in arms about X "killing" Iris. So much so he's preparing another invasion of earth with mavericks. It's a dangerous move, but the team has to take the teleportal to the planet and try to stop him.

Of course, there's a problem...a barrier on the planet surrounds an area with high energy readings. Solution? Not to beat up some mavericks, but some entities known as Archive Bots in five different stages.

We'll get cracking on those stages next time!
