This is footage of the "Open Beta". The game has since been completed, but we're re-airing it so people can see some of the progression in the game's development. The "Open" Beta allows you to do most things on the first few floors and use many items and skills. The game is mostly completely at this point and is much different from the "First Flush" edition. The finished game had some bug fixes such as the "overpowered" Beam Kunai's usefulness being diminished, etc.

The game is now worlds different from the FFE released several months ago. The game has real dialogue, more puzzles and a completely different and awesome soundtrack. Actually, the music sounds a great deal different than PD's past works such as Chelsea and the 7devils (Bunny Must Die) and Space Dynagon. Those games had cool music too, but the style and composition of the music here feels as though it was done by someone different...ah well.

There are a couple of differences I would like to point out right away with this version as opposed to the FFE version of desParaiso. First and foremost, the limit level thing seems to have been removed, or at the very least, raised. In the FFE version, I could only get up to level 6, which consisted of gaining four levels and finding a "master" level up zone, which raises your main characters level by one permenantly. Without getting too long-winded, the levels are "permenant" because you keep those levels even when you change classes. For example, if you trained a warrior to level 4 then got a master level, they would be level 5. If you never used a magius before, you would normally start at level 1. However, the master level you've obtained will ensure that your base level is level 2 with the magius.

I've played it for a little while and it's still hard as heck, but definitely more managable than the FFE game. In this video, I go through the introduction, and then show some dungeon segments. This dungeon is known as "Amagi" and I'm using Remedy Brahe (the Shamanic) and Fiss DzaDzaDza! (the Karateka). Just so you know, Fiss is awesome with the right training.

NOTE: You can download this version of the game on Platine Dispositif's site:

Another note: The game won't let you go to the fourth floor if you get to it. A message will tell you to get the full release sometime in 2009 and it will say "To be continued", showing Pino, the ninja maiden, in the background.
