Situated between two major global corridors, the Middle East now holds vast strategic and technological potential as a hub connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe. As of April 2023, 149 countries including China have officially joined the Belt and Road initiative according to Chinese announcements — meanwhile the region also links to India’s new corridor to improve connectivity with Europe, the Gulf, and Central Asia. Given this pivotal positioning, how can the Middle East best facilitate cooperation, investment, and cultural exchange between these two spheres of rising influence?​
