Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater (HD Collection) Cutscenes

Since MGS3 was re-released on the Nintendo 3DS, I am having the video be processed in 3D on YouTube. Enjoy! NOTE: The 3D is still in process as of August 21st.

What "Existence" was, were the cutscenes of MGS3 condensed into a three and a half hour movie. It was only available on the PS2, a part of a limited edition version of MGS3 called "Subsistence." This limited edition version of MGS3: Subsistence could only be pre-orderd in the US. The disc also included a 2005 trailer from the Tokyo Game Show for Metal Gear Solid 4. It would be three years before MGS4 came out for the PS3. Here's a fun fact, MGS3 was originally suppose to be made with the PS3 in mind, but due to the continued delays of the PS3 the game was scaled back to the PS2. I don't know why they could have waited, I mean 2004 already had one MGS game. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for the GameCube, a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid. Although, MGS: TS was developed by Silicon Knights; Kojima Production oversaw the development of the game with Nintendo and produced the cutscenes.

I do wish they had re-mastered this movie for the collector's edition of the MGS HD Collection and that they did this sort of thing with other games in the franchise. But whatever.

Set in 1964 Soviet Union, the story centers on FOX operative Naked Snake as he attempts to rescue a weapons designer and sabotage an experimental superweapon. While previous games were set in a primarily urban environment, Snake Eater adopts a 1960s Soviet jungle setting, with the high tech, near-future trappings of previous Metal Gear Solid games being replaced with the wilderness. While the setting has changed, the game's focus remains on stealth and infiltration, while retaining the series' self-referential, fourth wall-breaking sense of humor. The story of Snake Eater is told through numerous cutscenes and radio conversations.

I DO NOT own any rights to the Metal Gear franchise.
All property of the Metal Gear franchise is owned by Konami, Hideo Kojima, and Kojima Productions.
