Some incidental glitches and half-hearted tests from my recent playthrough of this game. Features slight mid-game gameplay spoilers, I guess.

I: the game "softlocked" near the start of the game for some reason. During the Mother Base tutorial, Ocelot simply stopped saying his lines, despite me having done all the currently required objectives. Retrying from last checkpoint fixed it.

II: my tactic of getting past the Skulls in Phantom Limbs (on New Game). I went as solo Snake and waited on this cliffside for the Skulls to pass. Then I dropped down behind them and whistled for my horse to teleport it close by, then just escaped. This tactic might teeter on the line of being "not intended by game developers".

III: for some reason, once after doing a target practice mission on Mother Base, there was a translucent, indestructible target left on the premises afterwards. It disappeared after a while. Is it a glitch?

IV: DD doesn't mind falling from heights.

V: those child soldiers were a hindrance. In this instance, one of them died for seemingly no reason - maybe shot by their own allies? or even Quiet? - forcing Miller to enter a moral panic and restart the mission.

Lesson of today: moral panics are counter-productive. :S

VI: there's a short transition animation after using the binoculars (or the iDroid-menu too). If you try to aim with a throwable item while near a cover during this transition animation, Snake starts shaking, as if trying to zip somewhere.

VII: this shaking oddity can be used to cover slightly deeper in a wall than usual? I didn't get around testing this anywhere else in the game yet, though.

VIII: a game crash. Fortunately crashing is not a very common glitch in this game.
