An epic tale of vengeance and glitches!

You can see the detectives Floyd Rose and Rusty Galloway briefly when arriving to the crime scene in Upon Reflection. They basically just walk up to their car and drive away with it. It shouldn't be anything special, but unfortunately for them, today the villainous Cole Phelps is on patrol...

Act 1: Rusty Galloway

0:00 - the detectives' car is scripted to drive away quickly and mercilessly, so Cole gets ran over if he is in the way. No, he is not happy about it.

0:18 - attempting to take revenge in the most direct way possible - having a duel of cars - is possible, but ultimately fruitless. You can't explode cars in this game, so at worst you are only a small inconvenience to the detectives, and they CAN in fact still drive away in a burning car.

1:09 - a short odd moment where the detectives' car almost sank into ground.

1:22 - if you follow the detectives' car, you'll find that it mysteriously vanishes after turning the first corner.

1:34 - after the detectives' car has vanished, you can reload the last save to find out that things have changed: the detectives' car is seemingly absent and so Rusty stays near the crime scene with nowhere to go. Now he is at Cole's mercy!

1:57 - how much more collateral damage will Cole wreak in his quest for vengeance?

2:33 - pushing a NPC against a car kills them instantly. However, since the detectives don't react to Cole walking at them, you might be fooled into thinking that they can't pushed and therefore killed... Wrong! Just lure a civilian next to them, and then push the civilian towards the detective to collapse everyone in the vicinity like blocks of dominoes!

2:55 - the game doesn't acknowledge in any way if Cole kills random civilians during the levels. It only recognizes if you kill some important NPCs like other detectives, giving you the failure message "Officer Down". Therefore, while you CAN kill Rusty, it results in a game over.

(Cole is blinded by vengeance, so he does this anyway.)

Act 2: Floyd Rose

3:11 - next, onto the curious case of Floyd Rose. Unlike Rusty who just stood in one place after retry, Floyd Rose keeps moving somewhere in a determined fashion... following him, you discover a strange sight: the detectives' car is now floating mid-air in the middle of the street.

Rose will automatically enter the car if he has the chance to. No one else can really interact with the car right now - it can't be entered or even moved around by crashing into it.

3:45 - since the detectives' car is in air, you can shove another car partially under it. Cramped spaces like this don't produce overtly glitchy side effects or anything, but it looks pretty nice.

4:56 - by placing another car in front of the detectives' car, Rose can't enter it. Now he too is at Cole's mercy!

5:15 - I managed to drop the floating car back to ground level by doing partner driving with my car that was parked right next to the it. I don't know why partner driving has this kind of an effect.

5:29 - Cole has such a lust for revenge (whooooooo?!) that he proceeds to off Floyd Rose as well, even though such an endeavor is bound to end in tears, not to mention a big mess on the sidewalk!

6:21 - after many failed attempts, Floyd Rose finally gets what's coming to him. But since revenge is a double-edged sword, so does Cole... it's game over for him! And thus ends our epic tale of vengeance and glitches.
