The planet of Lastar is full of light, and the light destroys all shadows. The Lastarals' way of communication is by reflecting the light.

Most of Lastar's difficulty comes from its strange physics. Initial launches have fair power, but are easily weighed down by Meteos; this means that stacks with more Meteos piled onto them are harder to move. Most other planets have this thing where stacks get "weighed down" with the amount of Meteos or burnt Meteos on them, but none of them are as apparent in my opinion as Lastar. However, after a few combos the physics start to resemble Thirnova more, where stacks "jump" to a set high before falling back down, with vertical ignitions almost certain to clear the screen. The best way to use this is in a defensive playstyle, pulling a "return to sender" by shooting burnt Meteos right back at the attacker the moment they land. However, because of how easily weighed down the initial matches are, a full screen of Meteos is a grave situation; the best way to survive is to find matches in *the middle* of the stack as opposed to the bottom to hopefully give yourself some time to breathe. When used properly, Lastar can be pretty versatile in a lot of situations, a quality not a lot of well-rounded planets can boast about having.
