This strange light spawned between two supernovas is likely an alternate dimension. Thirnovans are half energy.

Thirnova has an interesting set of physics. It has 11 columns, making it one of the largest field sizes in the game; and the way its physics work is that horizontal matches go up quickly, stop short right before its peak, and then falls back down fairly slowly. This makes it fairly easy to step jump and form a full screen-wide stacks (if you aren't like me and get lost easily amongst the bright colors of the meteo blocks). After that, it takes a few amount of horizontal matches to clear, with a small risk of not having any matches and needing to regenerate the stack, or a vertical ignition will clear no problem if you happen to find one. I personally haven't gotten used to the physics enough to form a concrete strategy with it, but it's by no means a bad planet. Thirnova is a pretty solid choice once you get used to the physics and the vibrant colors of the Meteos.
