Here's a walkthrough of me going through the original Metroid for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I am going for 100% pickups. Even though I have the sequential Main Item list, I will be doing some sequence breaking.

I destory the rest of the Zebetites, and finally see Mother Brain. Its only defenses are the turrets and Rinkas (the cheerios), so it's pretty easy to defeat it. After the destruction, and bomb is set, so Samus escapes to the surface. There, it is show that I got the second best ending (beat the game under three hours), and the Credits roll.
