Metroid 100% Walkthrough Part 3 - Bomb Jumps and Door Jumps
Here's a walkthrough of me going through the original Metroid for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I am going for 100% pickups. Even though I have the sequential Main Item list, I will be doing some sequence breaking.
Thanks to the Ice Beam's ability to freeze enemies, I am able to get an Energy Tank by freezing a Zoomer (and using a Bomb Jump). Then I go to the upper area of Brinstar to try and force a Waver to go up so I can freeze it and use it as a platform, but that ends up taking too long. So I just end up using the (faster) Door Jump technique to help me get to the Varia Suit. After all of that, I get a Missile Expansion.
