Here's a walkthrough of me going through the original Metroid for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I am going for 100% pickups. Even though I have the sequential Main Item list, I will be doing some sequence breaking.

All I get in this part is the Ice Beam. After that, I fall into an annoying shaft, which takes me too long to get to the top. Doesn't matter anyway, as I end up dying and needed to save anyway.
