Metroid Dread Playthrough (Hard Mode, Any%, Best Ending)

The final playthrough for our first series of recordings on this channel, Metroid Dread. Recorded after Super and Fusion we felt it was fitting to finish off the chronological Metroid titles (played so far) with the end of the story arc on the Nntendo Switch's best game (which is debatable, but you can't change our minds).
Moe originally recorded a practice playthrough for Dread before doing this one, and it was a good chance to unrust. He beat the game in under 4 hours and only died a dozen times (mostly on the EMMI) but knew he could do better. After that recording he then spent an entire Wednesday afternoon doing another run and improved his final time by about 20 minutes. There were still some deaths (from a couple of attempted sequence breaks and the usual EMMI robots) but none of them were on bosses or common enemy encounters. There were also a couple fuckups on some things meant to be shown off with flair, but we feel like this playthrough exoses more skill then slop with Moe getting a ton of items before expected and conquering the bosses in style. Metroid Dread is a masterpiece of a game developed by MercurySteam and after 10 playthroughs Moe can say it's their best work to date. The studio was in development for remaking the Gameboy title on 3DS known as Samus Returns and Dread is a perfect sequel project which takes what the predecessor does well and improve upon all aspects of it. From exploring the depths of ZDR to having drones strike the player with fear, Metroid Dread excels in explorative gameplay and sci-fi horror (much better then Fusion did with it's events being scripted). We have endless praise for this modern classic so we recommend you buy it and play it for yourself!
