Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Playthrough
Part 11: Quadraxis Conundrum

We get the Echo Visor and now it's going to help us further. Unfortunately it means that now it's time to get the energy from the Ing Hive, the Dark Side of the Sanctuary Fortress.

Something to note here is that I had to do this fight twice, due to errors. Regardless we have a showdown against Quadraxis. This thing is a three phase fight. Listen well.

Phase 1 has you needing to strike him in Morph Ball mode using Bombs. Stun each of the feet leading to the next part. In the next part, it's shoulder legs will display colors. When it's in blue that's when you can hit it. Use Super Missiles to take it down. Don't be afraid to distance yourself if you need a good shot. Once you destroy one of it's kneepads, repeat the process. Be sure to absorb any healing nearby. It helps.

After all four kneepads are taken out, this begins Phase 2 and this is where the Echo Visor comes in handy. Make sure you scan everything even when the head is stunned. Anyway, boot up the Echo Visor and shoot at the middle. Shoot it repeatedly. It'll cause the head to stun. Then shoot at one of the head's three antennas. Using Super Missiles help greatly. Once all three of it's antennas are gone, the body becomes useless.

Now we lead to Phase 3, the final one. First thing first, scan it and then shoot the hell out of it. It'll eventually get stunned, causing it to smash into the legs, revealing special pads you can use to boost jump into the stunned head. Lob a bomb into it to damage it. Do it twice and the fight's over. Beating it will net you the Annihilator Beam. This beam uses light and dark ammo and can also open special doors requiring it.

We also finally get the energy from it so we can return it back to the Light. We do that but it means one more thing must be needed. Part 12 is where we complete one more task for the Luminoth.
