Welcome to part 22 of my Metroid Prime Walkthrough. I'll be starting the majority of my videos from each save point.

--A new suit upgrade to obtain here, the thermal visor! As soon as we enter the research core, there will be some space pirates who will start attacking you. 3 security levels to take down before we can obtain the visor. Along the way there are some metroids contained within screens.

When all 3 forcefields are taken down we'll obtain the thermal visor! The room goes black and some shadow pirates will attack. Since we now have the thermal visor we can see their heat signature and proceed to destroy them.

Metroids will also break free from their cells and attack but a few missiles should take care of them.

To restore power to the doors you just need to use the thermal visor and find the circuits and shoot them with the wave beam.

And of course more space pirates to destroy on the way back.
