On the map data of the Chozo Ruins, there was uncharted territory that was unavailable on the map. I found myself at the Chapel of the Elders, where I fight a Chozo Ghost. They will appear appear in some rooms throughout the Ruins after getting the Ice Beam. After fighting I go to the Antechamber to get the famous Ice Beam, a weapon can freeze most enemies with a single shot, but it has the slowest rate of fire (one shot per second), and the projectile travels really slowly compared to the Power and Wave Beams. Frozen enemies can be shattered with a missile to kill them instantly.

The Frigate Orpheon also crashed near the landing site, and a few Space Pirates went there to seaech for surivors. Unfortunately, the Frigate crash landed near a lake (or sea) and the entire area is mostly underwater.
