There is also a Sega Genesis game of the same title, but both games are entirely different. This one is the arcade game powered by Sega's System 18. You still go around rescuing the children who have been kidnapped by Mr. Big, but it's an isometric view action game. This is a 3 player game, with player 1's Michael wearing the white suit.
A quick tap of the attack button has Michael shoot a short ranged magic spark. If it's held down instead, Michael moonwalks to charge for more range & power. When Michael's chimp Bubbles comes out, pick him up to transform into Mecha-Michael. Mecha-Michael can shoot lasers & a charge shot with missiles. The dance attack is used like a smart bomb. Not even robots are safe from it.

The BGM features well-done chiptune renditions of Michael's songs "Bad", "Smooth Criminal", "Beat It", & "Another Part Of Me".
