Microcosm is actually a tough game, but as a Space Harrier clone seems often rather dull. Lets check out this £45s worth of commercial CD release!

Among the 'first ever tries' I didnt expect to find this game being played this series. But its kinda 3D-looking and a SEU, so that would seem to fit with the theme of the shows. This was played cold with no warmup, having never played the game before, but have known about it of course thanks for the famous TV advert.
Maybe someone can give me a clue as to how to play this, but for me it was a matter of avoiding everything, as strafing into the line of fire often lead to taking damage. But I can see why nobody really took the game seriously in the playgrounds back then, as one try is enough.
I used a game pad to play this, although the pad doesnt have a proper D cross, but separate buttons for each direction, making playing this a bit harder. Apparently there is a boss at the end of each level - which reminds me of Wendetta - which was better than this, even though it was lacking in most areas. At least the music is very good, and better than Rick Wakeman.
BUGS!! - Its now 9th May 2018 and I just noticed the introduction title is Wrong! This is NOT Did it come from the Desert. How did I not notice this?
