Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Part 56: Borgu, the Immovable
So, after getting the second last WarChief, we finally make some headway in getting control over the last WarChief in the zone. Now, I’m not too sure if I needed to go back to Udun and get control over the WarChiefs in that area as well since it doesn’t really explain that (Spoilers, I don’t go back because I felt like I was repeating the same couple of fights and I didn’t want to keep doing that for a few more hours). All that is left is the last sword Challenge which is still locked since I don’t have the ability that I need. This leads me on a rather odd rant because I remember trying to figure out how I’m supposed to get more Power and I almost gave up on the challenge before I remembered that Power Struggles are a thing. Do you remember those things? The events that featured a random Orcs doing some and we could either protect it if we control that Orc or murder their face off while they were distracted? I don’t think I’ve done a Power Struggle since we came to the Sea of Nurnen because I never felt like I needed to. Some of the Skills seemed nice to get but I never felt compelled to go out of my way to get them; partially because I felt like I was getting enough power throughout the game that I didn’t need to go out of my way to get more and partially because I didn’t want to repeat the same activities over and over again because they didn’t really help me outside of getting some Power. It’s not like they give you an entire level of Power (at least, I’m fairly sure they don’t because, if they did, it would be very easy to abuse to get all the cool powers really early on) so it would be a lot of grinding to do. The traits themselves were okay but nothing that made me want to go out of my way to level up; Outside of branding, the only one that I was really interested with doing would’ve been the one where you could use your shadow strike to mount an animal. Even then, that trait was on the last line of abilities to get which, by the time that I got there, I was right at the end of the game.
