Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition Game Sample - SNES
Original Air Date: July 30th, 2009
I was gonna put up the description for this vid sooner, but the power in my area kept going out while I was working on another vid. Oh well. MMPR:TFE is sorta the U.S. equivalent of Shin Kidou Senshi Gundam W: Endless Duel, except with power rangers and not quite as good. To be fair, this game does predate Endless Duel and is still a rather nice fighting game by Natsume, even if you're not a fan of Power Rangers.
This game has great visuals with large sprites and music I'm sure most are accustomed to if they're fans of Power Rangers. The gameplay is rather basic though. While there are super attacks, special attacks, and basic combos, the game has no score and is pretty lacking in features or a story. The roster could have also been larger. Still, I enjoyed this game for what it is. The characters are pretty cheap when used effectively, especially the Ninja Megazord and Mega Tigerzord.
This video shows two segments: The Ninjazord in the Trial Mode, and the Tigerzord in the Story Mode. I was pretty ruthless with both of them, especially the Tigerzord. I used an attack with him that isn't even listed in the FAQ on GameFAQs and my personal favorite attack in this game, where he barrages the opponent with blows. It's sweeeet. Enjoy.
