I have come by with me starting up a new series where I review game accessories I have purchased throughout the years, and for my first review, I want to start with a small mini-review of the Qanba Obsidian 2, an arcade stick I've recently purchased! Of course, this review is part of a sub-series of said review series where I review arcade sticks. Again, keep in mind that this is my first review, so I apologize if I appear to be nervous and/or anxious when doing it. I also apologize for the sounds that came out of my phone around the end of the review as well
This particular arcade stick was announced at EVO 2022 alongside the Qanba Drone 2, the Titan, and a new PC-only tabletop arcade stick codenamed 2009. The latter three are PS5-ready arcade sticks that are also compatible with the PS4 and PC. It was released around a month or so after the Drone 2 was released as the premium option of the three new Qanba arcade sticks.
I also plan to film another video where I cover how to mod the Obsidian 2, where you can change the art, lever, and/or buttons thanks to how mod friendly this arcade stick is.
Bottom line: This is an amazing arcade stick that comes jam-packed with everything you can get from a premium arcade stick, and is worth the price! Of course, my only con with this is the use of a square gate (I know it's usually the standard for arcade sticks), since it can be quite tedious to perform quarter circle or half circle attacks, but this can thankfully be rectified with an octagonal gate.
