Minecraft 1.8 has just officially been launched and it's the biggest update yet. So big, in fact, that the way that items are stored in the save games has been changed.
If you're not extremely careful, there's a big chance that you'll lose all your inventory in your survival world when switching between 1.7 and 1.8 for multiplayer. Follow my instructions to prevent this!
Hopefully I can get the message out there enough that not too many people lose everything they've collected!
