In the morning, Braxton shows Kaden the paper. Kaden is freaked out not by the paper, but the fact that it was in the basement. His emotion changes as he is impressed that Braxton would sneak out at night. He thinks he should try that too. He was going to get the idea later even without Braxton doing it. Back to the note, they both agree that the employees, all of them, seem to have red eyes. Red is a natural eye color, as all other colors are, but this was still strange because it seems that every single employee had the same eye color. The psychologists, the janitors, but they didn't really see the other people yet. They needed to see more of the people that worked here before they could come to a conclusion. But even if they did, what would it mean for everyone to have red eyes there? Does it really mean anything?
The workers here are also strange. It's hard to notice, but every so often, the psychologists will twitch. All of them. They hear other kids talk about it when they're allowed out. It's quick but you can see it clearly if you're looking directly at them. There are these people that literally have to use tranquilizers on the children if they act up and can't control themselves. Now, this asylum is on the more corrupt side of the city, so this is kind of normal for them, even if they're using it on kids. Kids that have been shot by the tranquilizers have said that the doses are too high. Not that they would know how much they're getting. They say they fall asleep quickly, as that's what is supposed to happen. However, they experience some kind of hallucination. Something really frightening is supposedly seen by the victims before they fall asleep.
