Survival Death spiraling in my game lately. Getting a lot out of this weird new journey with my SSP game...
I've been mostly SMP 100% since the pandemic started, opening my own server, and having some of the best times ever in 10 years playing the game...I've played on 18 SMPs since April 2019, well, basically since I started on Twitch, and experienced late game...and LOTS of it, plus have always had all sorts of help!
Made SO many friends, too.
November marks 10 years I've played Minecraft, and doing it full time more than once.
Am not even sure how to put into words what this game has meant to me these 10 years as a trauma survivor.
Hoping I wouldn't "have to" but rather that it be evident...in my enthusiasm I love to share this game with as many people as possible, it's like my way to help the world.
About my survival death spiral...it's teaching me a lot about the value to having fun and loving all of your game time.
I fear it's my fingers / hands because I've noticed I am having trouble when I panic, I push the wrong buttons when it's time to save my own life. So I'm trying to practice keys / organizing hotbar, setting up quickkeys, whatever it takes...so these are "slow speedruns" if that makes sense. I generally die before Day 5 in Hardcore. So I am just here to get better.
Also... it really has been a year since I actually did my own early game playthrough...it's like I have forgotten...with all of my knowledge I need to get back in there and practice again, AND I need the solitude, need to connect, engage in some escapism and give myself a mental break :)
Sometimes if you play SMP a lot you will need to take a break (for me it's just so much interacting all of the time, and I need periods of solitude, even IRL so that's what I'm doing now...taking a wee break from SMP!)
