MINING WITH SKIZZO!!! \X_X/ - Days Gone Playthrough: Part 44 (PS4 Pro/Let's Play)
We're going mining with Skizzo! For dynamite though, also he's the only tool we brought and we're not allowed to -forget- to bring him home :/

Time for more Days Gone!
We're doing Lost Lake a real service this time babysitting Skizzo to Lucky Lad Mine, and that's the good bit of the mission. If you remember Iron Mike and Deacon had this whole idea to bury the horde/swarm in their caves, but to do it they needed dynamite? That's where we come in tonight, we're going into some old, abandoned, zombie infested mines to find explodey stuff with a guy as a sharp as a roundabout. They better pay us so much for this. The Mission's called "Some Kind Of Freak Expert" I think because that's what Skizzo mockingly referred to us as, but in reality it becomes apparent we're like "some sort of expert" compared to him in most things.
The second we leave Lost Lake Rikki contacts us to ask us fix her Transformers and her shower but that'll have to wait for now, we reach the Lucky Lad Mine ok but Skizzo beat us there! :[ We find the bikes of Skizzo's men Torres and Evans outside, they were the ones they lost here before and that Skizzo didn't tell Mike about (or perhaps clearly enough about) previously. Skizzo left them here because the place is crawling, but it's crawling with Newts! He's such a pansy. We try find a way into the mining office for a start as we need spare keys from there to open strongboxes inside the mine where the explosives are hopefully kept. Unfortunately the game decides that we have to clear the roof of newts to do that :'( We really didn't need to in any way shape or form and honestly it was the most painful thing we've had to do in the game so far. After that we're able to get the keys from a magical Newt hating cabinet inside and also some flares for our s̶u̶i̶c̶i̶d̶e̶ m̶i̶s̶s̶i̶o̶n̶ great idea.
We enter the mine with Skizzo and start looking for the explosives. The place is dangerous and confusing and it doesn't help that we don't seem to have a torch and also Skizzo walks much faster than us. They find nothing but danger and near death experiences for the first while but eventually find two bodies: it's Torres and Evans. Turns out one died after losing an arm and the other one survived a week by eating it. Euuuuuuuuugh :X That's where the "Lines Not Crossed" thing comes from, bother Skizzo and Deacon agree that cannibalism is a hard no. They find a lock box after a while but it's empty, the mine itself isn't though and a Newt pounces Deacon and runs off with the keys! We manage to retrieve the lock box keys from the newt but only by killing it, again, I hate this mission hah. Just then we hear gunshots as big brain Skizzo has starting shooting.
Skizzo is being swarmed in fairness as we get back to him but he's probably being swarmed because he had the lack of sense to fire a gun at a single zombie in a giant echoey mine in the first place, Deacon did warn him. They fight off the zombies, duct tape their brolationship back together and head out to find another lock box. Fortunately that one has the dynamite we need so it;s time to go home before the temptation to explode Skizzo overwhelms us. Skizzo and Deacon chat about something probably important around that whole end segment: The Rippers.
The Rippers are apparently after Mongrels MC guys, which means Boozer and Deacon, but why? Did Deacon and Boozer do something to them back in time? If Deacon knows he won't say, might've been something they did without realising, either way it's a valid question that remains unanswered. There's also the issue of Lost Lake and the apparent inevitability of the Rippers coming for it. Iron Mike is being a fool frankly and Skizzo for once is right, but he seems he may know something we don't, like he's really trying to let everyone know this is quite literally about to happen. Hmm. There's company outside in the form of angry gun wielding nuts of some flavour so it'll have to wait for now.
