Time for more Days Gone!
Previously we found the box of dynamite we need for the big plan at the Lucky Lad Mine with Skizzo. Despite Skizzo's best attempts we even made it out alive and resisted the urge to shoot him. We're not in the clear just yet as there are now goons outside to deal with. Fortunately Deacon has his crossbow and we manage to wipe most of them out before the others even realise and the rest before they ever see us: problem solved! Honestly things between Skizzo and Deacon are seeming much better, there's been a lot of progress there, but Skizzo's got a bit of a sudden bombshell to drop that manages to ruin everything on the spot. See Skizo isn't waiting for Mike to retire, he plans to "retire" him in person, "better one old man than the whole camp" as he puts it O_O
That's where the "Lines Not Crossed" thing comes in at last as Deacon suddenly sees things very differently and gets serious, explaining to Skizzo that he understands doing things to survive but stabbing a friend in the back is a line he's never crossed. Skizzo remains set on his path and rides ahead with the dynamite. he gave us no time frame but Deacon radios Mike to let him know of the threat regardless. Mike, as ever, completely blows it off and refuses to take it seriously..... Skizzo isn't even entirely wrong, these idiots deserve each other, good grief.
We head back to Lost Lake to the soothing sounds of Copeland's radio show and wolves trying to chew us, making a quick stop at the Lost Lake sniper ambush spot before reaching the camp at last. Things seem tenser, people know there's trouble afoot, but Skizzo's done nothing too stupid yet other than abandon boozer apparently who is "going home". That is to say he's drunk as hell out at the farm and we need to go rescue him from himself next time. Skizzo seems to see him as a write off but that's Skizzo and he's a moron.
