Mirror's Edge Catalyst | 1440p60 | Main Story + All Side Missions | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough
Full game Max FOV longplay of Mirror's Edge Catalyst, an FPP open world free-running focused game (this time with no weapons at all), released by DICE in June 2016, for the Windows PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This being the Xbox One version of the game running on Series X, meaning the game runs the Xbox One code at 120 fps (unfortunately Youtube doesn't allow videos of FPS higher than 60). The game runs on the Frostbite 3 engine, at a supposedly dynamic res on both PS4 and Xbox One, anywhere from 720p to above 900p, but since it's Series X, it's should be rock solid 900p. Recorded at 1440p60 via H.265 NVENC high bitrate codec on OBS.

MY REVIEW
================================================================================
Both of the console versions do run the game at low resolutions, and pretty low settings, perhaps all mix of low-medium ones, and it shows. The game is blurry, and without much detail, especially when it comes to shadows. BUT, I suppose it was all done to achieve 60 fps, which was done pretty successfully if I remember correctly, and also running at 120 on Series X without much issues. Well, except for all the in-game cutscenes running at hard-locked 30 fps regardless of the console you are playing at. BUUUUUUUUUT, the art style, the views, are absolutely superb, and beautiful. It was the second time I've played this game, and I may just say it's on my top 2, together with original Mirror's Edge, when it comes to art direction/art style, nothing comes close. And I actually do think It's an improvement in almost every way compared to OG ME, and yeah, the open world makes it even better, but that might be I love parkour and free-running in open environments, always loved it. Dying Light 1&2, Mirror's Edge games, a shitload of fun getting to some hidden places, hard to get to skyscrapers, all that stuff.
I really really liked playing it. It is a bit short, and graphically uninspiring on consoles, but it's solid, and fun, and dynamic. OG ME was limited, a bit shallow, and with a supremely idiotic combat, but still visually stunning, and great in motion. Story was also much more meh than here in Catalyst.
It's definitely the better game out of the two ME games for me (I know, blasphemy), and I'd actually give it 8.5/10.

The game takes place in the dystopian, futuristic city of Glass, the showcase city of the nation of Cascadia, governed by a totalitarian corporatocracy. Cascadian society is highly stratified, and the majority of citizens work for the corporations and are connected to the Grid, a massive social surveillance system digitally connecting everything and everyone in cities like Glass. The corporations are secretly preparing to launch a project, called Reflection, to control the populace through the Grid.
So-called Runners, freelance messengers skilled at parkour, refuse to be connected to the Grid and live on rooftops, making their living from covert delivery jobs while evading corporate security. The game centers around a Runner named Faith, and her efforts to help other Runners overthrow the corporate government and stop Reflection.
