0I have mixed feelings about how the filter/gamma turned out in this one. I recorded a second playthrough without scanlines using Sagat in Hyper Fighting mode: https://youtu.be/G-bCkwk5EB8
I prefer the cleaner look of the new video. Something about the palette used here does not work especially well with the brightness adjusted scanlines and gamma combo I used in this video.
After years of working on improvements for Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition, Pyron has finally released a full remastered version of the game in 2020! Graphics, sounds, font and animation frames have been updated to create the definitive Street Fighter 2 experience for Sega's 16 bit console.
