Some glitches from the early stages of exploring the Konquest-mode.

I: recorded at a session when Kazooie was visiting, we wanted to see what would happen if you combined getting a reward after a punch (which is a pretty unique occurence in the game) with other events. So we lured the aching tooth guy at a chest and opened it at the same time as we got the reward... the game utterly softlocks.

II: we attempted to get past the bridge guard by buffering the aching tooth guy's dialogue to occur after the bridge guard punches Shujinko. Interestingly, this led to another softlock. It seems that if the game interrupts Shujinko's "slowly getting back to his feet"-animation, he loses the ability to move at all. You can still talk to the aching tooth guy if he gets too close, but you can't ever move again, and I recall that you can't open the start-menu either in this state.

III: testing the loophole seen in the previous video some more. I start opening a door, then talk to a guy, then enter a hut. This causes the camera in the hut to change, showing how a wall is missing from the hut. Really bad architecture in this world...

IV: if you do the above but do not skip the dialogue, the game may again softlock. In this instance Shujinko is supposed to reply to the old man, but apparently his dialogue data is not loaded and the game gets upset for that.

V: a pretty rare, interesting effect. Start a dialogue after opening a door, but skip it before Shujinko manages to leave the screen. This causes Shujinko to get stuck in a weird state where he would love to turn around and warp inside the building, but you can control him and keep preventing him from doing that. Now his running animation goes all strange, and touching a cutscene trigger (like with the bridge guy) causes the cutscene to become buffered into the background instead of activating. Shujinko's movement slows down to a crawl and makes him slowly levitate... punching repeatedly is now the best way to get around due to the small speed boost you get from it. If you stop holding the left analog for even a moment, Shujinko will turn around and warp into the hut screen. After exiting, he is back at hut entrance and things are back to normal.

Not seen on the video much, but all the actors become unloaded from the main map when you're in this state. Also, if you leave too far from the area you start this glitch in, things become unloaded and you can just run out of bounds. Regardless, this variation of the glitch is so far much less useful than the one where you disappear the entire map.

VI: glitching up the dojo stairs animation. You have a little bit of time to talk to someone before Shujinko starts walking up the stairs (using the new loophole), but if you do, Shujinko's direction changes and he starts walking up in air instead.

VII: finally, you may also start meditating at the start of the dojo stairs animation. This allows you to see the stairs animation for much longer than normally possible due to the fade-out. No other noticeable effects... too bad saving while on the stairs doesn't reload you out of bounds. Instead, you end up at the foot of the stairs like normal.
