0This game brings me back to my childhood, despite remembering almost nothing about it; I'm super excited to feature this as a series on the channel; maybe it will garner some attention and the higher ups will do a reboot of the series. I would love that a lot.
.Hack//Infection takes place two years in the future of when the game was created; 2004. Altimit Network has become prominent in all countries to near-100% integration. A massive MMO called "The World" has been released, I think as a VR game?
Mysterious people are going into comas after playing the game, with no known cause; Kite, on his first day in The World, spends time with his friend Orca clearing their first dungeon when they run into a mysterious girl and an even more mysterious and unknown enemy who cannot seem to be damaged; during this battle, Orca's character gets wiped out and Kite mysteriously transported out of the dungeon.
In real life, Orca slips into a coma; is this rampant buggy monster causing the comas? Is there something more sinister going on?
