MOANA | Moana Shot Progression | Animation Breakdowns
29Moana was a personal favorite to animate on and a huge learning experience for me.
I tend to struggle with heavy body mechanic shots, so what better way to practice than to animate a human bursting out of the water, climbing a boat and pulling hard on a rope😂 These shots were tough, they pushed me out of my comfort zone and I'm thankful for the opportunity...it's how we learn.
Here's a small look at my process, 2d blocking, CG blocking in stepped, CG splines and the final shot with all the beautiful work done by our Effects, Tech Anim & Lighting teams!!!
