Pokémon Unite könnte der neue Stern am MOBA-Himmel sein: Pokémon ist ein absolutes Mega-Franchise und Multiplayer Online Battle Arena Games sind durch Titel wie League of Legends aka LoL oder DotA in der Gaming Community der heiße Scheiß. Aber Pokémon Unite schlägt Kritik entgegen: Lootboxen, Ingame-Käufe und Monetarisierung wohin das Auge reicht - Pokémon Unite soll extrem unfair sein, was das Bezahlmodell angeht. Doch sind die Microtransactions wirklich so schlimm? Kann man Pokémon Unite spielen ohne Geld auszugeben und macht es dann noch Spaß? Und wie viel Einfluss haben die Ingame-Käufe auf das Balancing und das Meta-Game? Denn wenn Pokémon Unite als Pay-to-Win abgestempelt werden würde, wäre das sicherlich der Tod für ein kompetitives MOBA. Deshalb haben wir uns MOBA-Profi Maxim Markow ins Boot geholt, der schon viel Erfahrung bei MOBAS generell und auch bei Pokémon Unite gesammelt hat und uns an seiner professionellen Meinung teilhaben lässt.
