00:00 - Intro
00:04 - Attack of the Killer Potatoes
I ran into these oversized potatoes while creating my M1-P Potato Gun mod. I spawned all of these massive potatoes from a high position then dropped down to capture this odd footage. Scale issues occur quite often, sometimes too large to even see since you end up inside them, other times too small to see.
00:46 - Silly Slides and Firearm Antics
This is a collection of similar issues relating to the physics asset of the weapon's skeletal model. Physics are applied to both the firearm frame and the slide independently causing the slide to hang off it's socket. The white weapons are some sort of material issues where the emissive map is covering the entire mesh.
01:46 - Floaty God Phone
Due to the architecture of The God Phone item it contains two meshes, one is used for collision and the other for the mesh of the phone itself. During development collision was enabled for both of these meshes causing the phone to fight with itself trying to move the meshes away from each other instead moving the item around in space.
03:53 - Jean-Baptiste with Woman's Voice
For some reason spawning the JB NPC, by default, had a woman's voice.
04:25 - Hard to Handle Hammer
This occurred while I was sorting out the grip points and damage colliders for the hammer. As you can see the positions where the hand snaps to grab are less than ideal making handling very difficult.
04:54 - Tower NPC Rumble
This footage was some testing and outtakes from my JB versus Georgia NPC rumble. I added collision to the tower mesh and spawned one on the outskirts of the Ward. Once at the top I spawned NPC's. NPC's can not be spawned in the same spot or they will collide and despawn, so I created some code to spread them out, the more I spawn at once, the more they are spread out. Walkers are spawned spread out at the tower roof level, therefore in midair. The spawns are also queued, and spawn in batches. So we see waves of walkers spawning in mid air and falling to the ground.
06:20 - Pocket Size God Phone
This is another scale issue I ran into when swapping the ham radio for the God Phone in the Ward.
06:49 - Hand Wrap Fail
This was a texture I tried out for hand wraps, it didn't work out so well.
07:03 - Graveyard Raveyard
I captured this footage while working on the initial walker spawning code. Walkers are spawning too high and falling. If there's no room on the ground they bounce.
