I've never played a monster hunter game before, so this is my entry into the series. Playing on an Xbox One X, this game looks amazing and I'm both blown away by the gameplay and art direction, and at the same time overwhelmed by the whole game. But that's not a bad thing.

Coming at this game without any prior knowledge makes this game a constant discovery into its world, gameplay, and systems. There is a sense of wonder around every turn, but it's not without its issues and frustrations.
