DESCRIPTION ▼
New details for the first big update for Moi Rai Game's sleeper gem Monster Sanctuary have been released.

In a recent Steam blog post, details of the 1.1 Update and Future Roadmap were outlined.

The 1.1 Update features:
▸ New difficulty settings (Casual and Master): In response to feedback, a new casual mode is added that will slightly reduce the difficulty. Master difficulty is intended for NG+.
▸ New Game +: players carrying across their save to NG+ will keep all monsters, equipment, and most items. Monsters reset to level 1, but will keep their light/dark shifts. You won't be able to use monster exploration abilities until you meet a monster in the game that possesses that ability, to prevent sequence breaks. All equipment upgrades will also be removed.
▸ PVP Matchmaking improvements: will better match players based on average monster levels and ranking. May include ability to challenge Steam friends.
▸ Online performance and achievement fixes.

They also outlined the roadmap for future feature updates, including:
▸ Player sprite customisation
▸ Minimap improvements, custom markers
▸ Speedrun options, increased battle speed options, cutscene skipping
▸ Other quality of life improvements: sorting monsters, cancel skill point allocation if still in menu, improved monster donation, show number of owned items when purchasing, option to increase wild encounter levels
