More TV hijinks: 12' Amtel B&W TV Composite Video mod.
Got another TV To show today. This one is an interesting one. A 12' B&W tv with old school knob tuners. (not like the radio knob style tuners on the portables. Those were still common among portable TVs)
Common for TVs until late 80s to early 90s. But after 93 they really started to disappear. But I guess China didn't get the memo and still sold this thing. I added composite video because I guess they still couldn't afford the extra few cents to change PCB design/add RCA jacks and a mode selection switch. :P
Disclaimer: Always exercise caution when operating with a dissembled CRT TV. There are parts that carry high voltage and may cause electrocution if handled improperly. This TV runs off an ac adapter and thus is isolated from main AC line. Doing this to a more traditional TV with direct connection to wall outlet may not be fully isolated and may pose a safety hazard and or hazard to any attached equipment if you attempt this mod on a tv.
For such TVs having a full schematic is recommended before attempting this.
