7= DESCRIPTION =
I truly did not expect to actually complete this layout. Originally, this was meant to be a test to see if I could build in this specific style, just for fun, however this layout truly became greater than I could have ever imagined. Morphodilation is a love letter to my favorite level in Geometry Dash, Xenomorphosis by @GDGoose . My layout takes heavy inspiration from the gameplay progression of the original level, and expands upon the gameplay to include more late 2.1-styled elements. I still remember the day I found this level on the servers, it really resonated with me, as it marked the beginning of a new era in creating. The influence of Xenomorphosis and Goose himself is HEAVILY under-appreciated, as it was incredibly inspirational to tons of new and old creators at the time. It could be argued that it fundamentally changed how GD level creation is made. For that reason alone, I wanted to take what I loved most about the level, and exemplify it in a true passion project of my own. I truly hope the gameplay of this layout does it justice, as I really love this level. The name as well is a direct reference to Xenomorphosis being a portmanteau of words.
