This is a demonstration of Motaro in the PS1 version of Mortal Kombat 3. Read on for more information...

Motaro is the penultimate boss in the game. He is an unplayable character in this version of it.

This video shows pretty much all a human player can do with Motaro without freezing the game. In this version of MK3, trying to play as the bosses or hidden characters is prone to locking the game. There's only several things a human player can do, and most are all pretty much useless... however there are some moves you can do with them that allow you to hurt the opponent, but they are messed up. You will NOT be able to perform any of the proper moves or special moves the CPU Motaro can do.

The PS1 MK3 Motaro, when compared to the arcade version, is surprisingly slightly more 'lenient', as his standing HP doesn't freeze the game. However the HK button is the problem here, as pressing and releasing it will freeze the game. All the other buttons (LP, HP, LK, BLOCK and RUN) are flaw-free.

Unfortunately just like in the Arcade version, for movements which require Right/Up-Right/Down-Right to be pressed, you must have the direction held/pressed BEFORE the round starts. If you press these directions AFTER the round has started, it'll freeze the game. The Left/Up-Left/Down-Left directions are flaw-free.

If the BLOCK button is pressed and released, Motaro does an odd move where he zooms forward in his jump animation, you can even hit the opponent as well with it in the air. It does seem to operate like Kano's Cannonball... maybe Motaro's data was built on top of Kano's?
