This is a demonstration of Shao Kahn in the PS1 version of Mortal Kombat 3. Read on for more information...

Shao Kahn is the final boss in the game. He is an unplayable character in this version of it.

As mentioned above, this video shows pretty much all a human player can do with Shao Kahn without freezing the game. In this version of MK3, trying to play as the bosses or hidden characters is prone to locking the game. There's only several things a human player can do, and most are all pretty much useless... however there are some moves that allow you to hurt the opponent, but they are still messed up moves. You will NOT be able to perform any of the proper moves or special moves the CPU Kahn can do.

Shao Kahn in the PS1 MK3, when compared to the arcade version, is surprisingly slightly more 'lenient'. His standing HP doesn't freeze the game. However the HK button is the problem here, as pressing and releasing it will lock the game. All the other buttons (LP, HP, LK, BLOCK and RUN) are flaw-free.

Unfortunately just like in the arcade version, for movements which require Right/Up-Right/Down-Right to be pressed, you must have the direction held/pressed BEFORE the round starts. If you press these directions AFTER the round has started, it'll freeze the game. The Left/Up-Left/Down-Left directions are flaw-free.

Kahn actually has a standing HK where it is 'logically' his kick, at first it looks 'correct' but it's actually animated too fast and the hit range is shorter than it looks. As mentioned earlier you also have the problem of releasing the HK button freezing the game, so you need to press and hold it, Pause the game, release the button, and then un-Pause to resume.
