This is a demonstration of the boss character Sailor Neptune and selecting Sailor Pluto in Story mode in the PS1 version of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Super S. Read on for more information...

This video demonstrates a quick fight using one of the boss characters Sailor Neptune against the CPU; and also attempting to use Sailor Pluto (another boss) in Story mode.

In this game, there are 4 bosses - Saturn, Pluto, Uranus and Neptune. On the full character select screen, they are the 4 characters at the sides of the group, 2 on each side. All 4 are available and can be selected from the start, however they cannot be selected in Story mode.

Using alternative methods to select them in Story mode will cause the game to freeze on the loading screen, and in Pluto's case, cause the whole game to exit.

I've split the video into 2 sections:

-- 1st section demonstrates a fight with me using Neptune against the CPU Venus.

-- 2nd section at the end quickly shows me attempting to use Pluto in Story mode, causes the game to freeze.

The CPU AI can be very difficult in this game, which is the reason why I played a calm counter game... if you try to rush-down the CPU it will smash you!

===== About SMSS =====
While the game's artwork is excellent, unfortunately the same cannot be said for the in-fight sprites (in my opinion at least), because they appear to be 3D models made to operate in a 2D manner. The gameplay is awkward, clunky and somewhat unresponsive, making fast reaction and precise moves very difficult. The game is made by Angel / Bandai - the same company who made the SNES version - and this is based on the SNES version too.
