19A playthrough of the Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance Arcade Ladder with Kitana on Max Difficulty.
Beating the AI on Max difficulty is not too difficult provided you learn its patterns.
Kitana is a fast character but one of her downsides is the fact that her attacks don’t really deal too much damage and she has no power up move to increase her attack damage so you’re stuck with her as is.
Her specials aren’t really that good. Her fan lift might rarely not be blocked and then you can come in and setup a combo but the rest of the time it will be blocked and your character attacked.
As for the second special (Pretty Kick) it will most likely be blocked and your character attacked again. It also has a cool down period so it wouldn’t be a viable strategy anyway.
Instead my suggestion is to switch to the Ba Gua style and execute two Horse Kicks (Up + Circle) and then attack with the Art of Overkill combo (Square, X, Forward + X). This takes around 20% damage.
If the Horse Kicks are blocked then block yourself, wait for the AI to finish its programmed combos and then try again.
As for Moloch, I haven’t found any good combos to use and sidestep.
However, I realized that Moloch has no low attack with the exception of a ground smash.
Therefore, crouch with Kitana and wait for Moloch to do one of two things.
Both roar and heal at which point quickly attack Moloch with the Art of Overkill combo.
Or he might do a ground smash, try to your best to anticipate it and then jump so it doesn’t damage your character.
Another possibility (although much harder) is simply to go towards Moloch, block his attack and then attack with the Art of Overkill combo. However if Moloch blocks it then there is a 100% chance to be attacked so time your strategy well.
Kitana is an unlockable character and is not available from the start. She can be bought in the Krypt at coffin KI for 2931 Sapphire Koins.
