A playthrough of the Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance Arcade Ladder with Kano on Max Difficulty.

Beating the AI on Max difficulty is not too difficult provided you learn its patterns.
Sidestepping is still important, however, I think Kano is the type of character that you can use to get close to the opponent,attack, then maintain a distance and either let them come to you or once again get close with Kano and attack.

Probably Kano's most useful combo is the Ear to Ear combo (Back+Square,Back+Triangle) with the Butterfly knives.
You can use this approach with pretty much any character and have decent chances to win.
Raiden is slightly tougher since one of his style branch combos
switches from high to low which means you either have to block those attacks or be willing to risk the damage.

As for the specials, they're not really worth it.
Kano's Cannon Ball will be blocked and then you get attacked.
Same goes for the Eye Laser except with one notable exception.
Due to some quirk in the AI's programming, they will attempt to jump towards you, leaving themselves undefended against the Eye Laser which you can use.
Sometimes they may jump a few more times allowing more Eye Lasers to be performed.
This can be observed in the first fight of the ladder.

To beat Moloch just use the Ear to Ear combo from above and you should be in business.
You don't really need to sidestep since the last hit of the combo will push Moloch back.
Just be wary when getting close to Moloch and make sure to block all his attacks.
