1. Continue exploring. If not count one new small location and a few chests there is no changes in "Earthrealm" regarding the side quests I've mentioned before. So, I guess there are time specified. If you missed the specific segment then, well, you miss them.
2. Things that are missed for the moment, marked as "?" / decide to skip, marked as "-" / not possible to be completed, marked as "--":
-- 2.1. 16 misc side quests at starting village, one before "Earthrealm". There is no option to go back there exist.
2.2. C-8, fight with Shang Tsung in "Netherrealm". Basically tough to deal with as Scorpion as well as it was as Kenshi.
2.3. C-5, "Outworld". Fight with the Sub-Zero, while damage is count only as 25%.

2.5. H-8, "Outworld". Defeat Johnny Cage with 12X combo.
2.6. F-7, "Edenia". Defeat Sub-Zero with 10X combo.
2.7. C-2, "Edenia". Defeat Cobra under 30 seconds with 50% damage.
2.8. G-2, "Edenia". Defeat Mileena when she deals 2X damage, heal and there is no block available.
2.9, 2.10. C-7, "Earthrealm". Defeat Kung Lao with 10X combo. Additional quest cannot be done without fight.
2.11. Item / move at A-8. Condition is rather tough to grab one. Not online specific time, but a specific date of the month.
? 2.12. C-6, "Earthrealm". Didn't manage to find a guy in orange suite near the hut.
? 2.13. D-6, "Netherrealm". Can't find Drahmin.
? 2.14, 2.15. "Earthrealm", D-4. Here I came ether too late or too earlier. There is no old man near the hut, while another / same one, near the temple, wan't speak with Shujinko.
