Moviehouse Demo Gameplay: Script, Produce & Distribute in the Movie Production Tycoon!
2Moviehouse is an upcoming movie tycoon game in which you managed a movie production house. This includes writing scripts, producing the movie and distributing it to film festivals and theatres. The video shows only part of the demo gameplay.
The game is a fresh management simulation, which takes inspiration from other games in the genre like Game Dev Tycoon. You are in charge of hiring writers, producers and crew and managing their training and happiness.
As a start, you will need to write a script. For each script, you get to choose a setting, a hero and a villain. These combinations can make an interesting story! Once the story is fleshed out, the producer then casts actors, and using locations scouted by the crew and props built by your own crew, a set is built and used for the movie.
After producing, you can enter your movie to film festivals to gather buzz and new fans, as well as distribute it for income! Spend your research points to unlock new features, and continue to produce movies until you are an award-winning studio.
I am eager to hear more about this game once it is released. From what I experienced so far, this game has potential. I would love to see some different difficulty levels and hope that the financial and success aspect of the game is challenging; as such factors may be often hard to balance in similar games.
