INTRODUCTION:

For generations, there have been many failed attempts to recover the magical Chalice that was stolen from your once happy and prosperous world.

Now guarded by an ancient alien race, it’s up to you to take back what is yours, restoring peace and harmony once again!

As the hero in Mr Hair’s latest adventure, you must bravely journey through this treacherous world, searching for the stolen energy cells that provide power to the Kingdoms key chambers to release the Chalice.

Not everything is as it appears in this alien landscape, you must be cunning, you must be determined and you must even be willing to transform yourself into THE FLY to be able to reach the unreachable.

You are the last hope to bring back the magical chalice and save your world before it’s too late.

REVIEW:

In the first game with Mr Hair, The Hair-Raising Adventures of Mr Hair (See here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmpFAI1P5bo) the plot of the game was as simple as "to escape". In this second game you are on a mission to get the stolen Chalice back to your world, and you also have to transform into a fly. This Molecular transporter and fly stuff clearly leads the thoughts to the 80s movie "The Fly".

People who have played the first game might remember that is was extremely tough. This second game is also tough but instead of instant death when touching an ememy, you now has an energy bar. When the game starts you will be in The Energy Chamber, there are two of these, the second one is in the middle of the game where the Molecular transporter also is located. You can go where ever you want to, and you can always enter the Energy Chambers, so you can recharge your energy bar. But this does not change the facts that this is also a very tough game, it is not like you can just go to an Energy Chamber and refill when you are short on energy - you have do your best to avoid the enemies else you will soon be drained for energy. If you die you will have to start from the Energy Chamber you were in last, which in most cases will put you many, many screens back. This seems a bit unfair and it would make more sence to start again at the screen where you died.

You have to do a lot of backtracking in this game, because the whole game is more or less locked when you start, you have to find energy cells to open up for locked areas. Some of these doorways are hard to find / see, and sometimes you can come to several different places with locked doors, so you have to remember where they are when you find the next energy cell, so you can backtrack. Besides all the energy cells you will also have to find four special keys.

You can use the Molecular transporter as often as you like, and you have to play x2 with Mr Hair and x2 with The Fly. In all you get a little more playtime with The Fly. The Fly is extremely tough to control, you can take small hits that causes little energy loss, but if you get bigger damage the fly will fall to the ground for a moment, which might be fatal if there are enemies right under.

The controls of Mr Hair and The Fly are totally different, and there are also different soundtracks when playing these parts, so it can be considered as a two-part game, with quite different parts.

The graphics is very detailed and colorful, which causes a little clash here and there, but nothing serious. The music kicks ass, especially if you have stereo mod, and this game will last for a long time if you do not use pokes or save stats.

The game was developed by Micro Chops and published by Bitmap Soft in 2020.
